Is it a car? A scooter? A motorcycle? All of these questions are fair game when talking about three-wheeled cars, and the issue has even risen as high as the White House, with the Obama administration deciding they are in fact cars in the case of electric-powered three-wheelers like the Aptera 2e.

Tesla Motors Preparing Public Offering
Tesla Motors, a six-year-old start-up electric car maker, is planning to go public "any day" with hopes to cash in on investor appetite for green technology and interest in battery-powered vehicles. The company, who's investors include Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, will be the first U.S. auto company to go public since Ford in 1956.
